After Neil Young left the California folk-rock band Buffalo Springfield in 1968, he slowly established himself as one of the most influential and idiosyncratic singer/songwriters of his generation. Young's body of work ranks second only to Bob Dylan in terms of depth, and he was able to sustain his critical reputation, as well as record sales, for a longer period of time than Dylan, partially because of his willfully perverse work ethic.

Neil Young used to be like an idol to me, then he released his blu-ray box sets. What a sell out move, still selfish ol' neil. His Toronto show was killer, seen him months later in London and show was borderline shit.

Was at the concert last night in Toronto. WHAT A SHOW!!!! I've seen Neil many times over the years and one does not know Neil until they hear him live. There is something about Neil live where he feeds off the audience which results in an energy that can not be captured in the studio. While some complain about Neil's vocal abilities, again, when live you hear the true ability that this guy has at singing and playing his axe. Go Neil!
