One of the best folk songs ever, written by Tom Paxton in mid to late 60s, and many, many versions have been done. The best rendition, in my opinion, is by the Australian folk group The Seekers. Their harmonies and overall production of this great song is the best ever done. But you cannot go wrong with any version of this amazing and enduring song.

Hi Joan I don't expect you to ever remember me but we crossed paths at the Philadelphia Folk Festival more years ago than I want to remember, although they were the sweetest years of my life and I woldn't trade them for anything.
