I was never able to adjust without uninstalling it because I didn't feel that the seat was tight enough against the seat if I left room for adjustment.

Thanks for sharing with us. Can the sit's angle be adjusted during driving/after sit has been installed, or I have to remove the saftebelt before re-adjusting the angle?
