Oh my gosh! I feel so sorry for you having to do this.

And I feel sorry that you have to read all of the moronic, uneducated, selfish comments that are being left. Not cool guys.

I recently lost my dog and life just isn't the same without her. :( I laid with her right next to me her last night on earth and I think it was sweet of you to do something like this for your dog too! You will always have this memory and know that you did what you could to make your pup a little happier in his/her final days! What a lucky dog to have an owner like you!

I feel your loss buddy. I did that for my cat 3 years ago. The meal fit for a queen consisted of shrimp, tuna, lobster and chicken. She ate every bit of it.

I'm so sorry for your loss :( It's always heartbreaking to lose a family member. Why did he have to get put down?

Sorry about your dog. That was definitely a meal fit for a king. I can tell your nice people. I don't have a dog, but I love them. I'm going to get one someday. I've always thought that dogs are the best part of who we are.

My sweet Bailey has cancer. Most of my videos are her Bailey Vlogs. This video is so touching. He looks so happy. Before Bailey was sick, I was so strict about what she ate. Now, she's allowed to eat pretty much anything she wants, as long as it isn't dangerous. She gets meals like this at least once a week. She loves it and it keeps her life exciting. Her cancer took her appetite, so I bribe her to eat with amazing meals that even cancer can't turn down.

They are useful for many other things beside eating. Pigs are very good trackers and incredibly useful for waste disposal and farm work. You just listed uses that are particular to dogs.

No one makes friends with pigs because no one thinks to do it. Pigs actually make just as good companions. The stigma keeps humans from wanting to build relationships with them.

Usefulness isn't a good enough excuse to hold more favor for one life over another if you have the option to not kill either.

Just to make this clear, dogs have done useful work for humans for centuries such as herding, hunting, protecting, and helping the blind. The most useful thing turkeys and pigs have done is make some good bacon. We choose not to eat dogs because they have such high value, not only as workers but as friends too. It's not because anyone believes they are "more alive" than other animals.

Luckily for you euthanasia is illegal for humans, so when you're on your death bed you won't have any options other than to endure the agonizing pain until death takes you.
