Sorry CaliBeach. I have been out there in that big bad world you are talking about and I've seen great things and some terrible things. Knowing Persian and Afghan Pashto does not automatically make you more knowledgeable about terrorist threats than my friend who speaks Arabic yet doesn't have a clue about the culture. Of course terrorism is a threat but so are a lot of other things. I was in NYC on 9/11/01 and saw first hand the horrors but I did not let that turn me into a fearbased neocon.

Any rational human being should understand the threat that they pose. That's probably giving you too much credit, though. Which Middle Eastern languages have you studied?
