Could you not have 5 or 3 block engines for practicality and economy as well as the big 7 and 9 for those with lots of money? You might as well.

Why does everyone just mindlessly blip the throttle really fast? Why don't they bring it up to, say, 1300 and 2500 and stuff so that we can get a feel for what it really sounds like on the highway instead of just sounding like a toughguy at a stoplight?

Rock, that's a very good question. That was my hand in the video and I was only testing throttle responsiveness to the Bing carb, not RPM range. Unlike the production model, this prototype (John's)had no tachometer so I did not want to unknowingly run it into a range that would have damged the engine. The 1st production model (mine) has the tach info in the mirrors. -Ollie (Afghanpilot)

To be honest, I purchased the #1 production bike without riding the prototype. I also changed to a chain drive due to the torque the Rotec 2800 puts out, 7 into 3 pipes for more horsepower, softail for a smoother ride and hidden handlebar cables and reservoirs. Thanks for posting.

Batjac you're absolutely correct regarding the vibration. While I was at the JRL facility he placed his cell phone on the fender and it didn't budge. Totally smooth.
