Siddhartha Timeline Project

I made this video for an English project where we had to create a timeline of events, experiences, or realizations in our lives that helped to shape the person we are today. When my grandma bought my brother and I our first piano, we were kind of forced to play. It was when we stopped taking lessons that I realized I loved music. From then on, I continued to play piano on my own. In elementary school, since I loved singing and music so much, I joined chorus and learned to play the flute. After elementary school, I was accepted into the Gifted and Talented program at Howell Middle School North. Here, grades were a big part of my life and I strived to be at the top, academically, which was also important to my parents. My mother wanted me to have a future in the medical field. With the love for music still inside of me, I contintued on to high school and started fresh where I joined chorus. I realized I had no interest in sports, considering the fact that all my activites were music related when I was younger. I feel that this also makes me independent in a way since I was never really part of a team. This fresh start also involved my joining to my church's youth group where music has helped me evolve religiously as a person and form many new relationships. Sophomore year was when I realized that I wanted music, rather, to be a big part of my future. That year I auditioned for the All-Shore and All-State choirs and was accepted into both. From then on, I began making my own choices without second thought. Junior year, I was inducted into the National Honor Society. Education is still a major part of my life. It has gotten me to where I am now and will help me reach my goals in the future.
