Pretty much the best part of the game. Or at least the most memorable.

i felt so sry for this girl but i also feared her, her boss battle was the hardest for me because there was lik 20 things you had to fight

I always had dreams of the little green haired girl with those far apart eyes. It always scared me when I was little. Never really played the game after the Eye boss.

The most memorable part in this game to be honest. Pretty much also the saddest part in the game.
The music is strangely beautiful yet creepy, very fitting since at first your in the clouds with ruins and everything and suddenly there's bloody lava and eyes everyhwere.
Scary, creepy, strangely beautiful.
Scarred my innocent heart as a kid.

At this point I was thinking,
"Geez, are we going to kill the girl? At the same time, who's going to survive if we don't?"
Made a nice feeling of suspense pick up in that part of the game.

@davedetrick The thought of killing her always made me sad. She was possessed by Valmar, yes, but everything she did, she did with the best intentions. She wasn't at all like Gaden, she genuinely wanted to see people be happy and get along. :(

@ShikibuSan Indeed, hard to believe such kind intent could be so deadly. Whoever said -The road to hell is paved with good intentions- wasn't joking. Though in this case, a saying like that could be seen as a sick ironic joke here. And nobody's laughing.
Yet despite that, you can't stop yourself from playing through this part, knowing that there will be a fight ahead. It's a good thing a situation like this is only fantasy, because it's one hell of a sadistic setup, don't you think?

@davedetrick If I were in Ryudo's party, I think the sequence would have devastated my morale. Even with Millenia's last minute gift to her mother, killing a little girl is horrible and sad. You realize from the beginning, the first time you meet here, that she was odd.
But it's still a shock when you realize this little girl will be your enemy. She felt so alone and sad in the end...

I always thought this whole section of the game felt out of place, like it was done by a different team entirely...

@dsozso I think the psychological horror played by this particular arc in the game was a nice addition. It demonstrates how utterly conflicted those possessed can actually be. Aira's Space was a pretty good example, her soul being corrupted by monsters and darkness while a small part of her true self shines through to aid you.
I just find it funny that Aira was one of the few people that managed to both fight off Valmar's control and use the power to "help" people.

(c) The only other people that really managed that are Elena and Ryudo. But they're canonically that badass so Aira's totally special. :P
Gaden was controlled and changed, Tio was acting under orders and had no free will anyway, I'm not really sure what was up with Selene but I want to say she was still brainwashed a little bit. :T
Melfice.... I don't even think I need to say anything about that.
