Step #1
Open your web browser and navigate to the library homepage at http://www.bayonnelibrary.org

Step #2
Open the library catalog by clicking on the "Local Catalog (iBistro)" link located in the left-hand navigation menu of the library homepage

Step #3
Do a search for the book you are looking for. In the results list e-books will be designated by "EBOOK" in the call number location.

Step #4
To view an e-book click on the "Details" button from the results list. This will display the full record. Click on the tab labeled "Catalog Record" and then click on the web address link located in the first FTP field of the full catalog record.

Step #5
This link will open a new window that displays the e-book's full bibliographic record at the Project Gutenberg website.
Step #6
Scroll to the bottom of this web page. Under the heading labeled "Download this ebook for free" locate the plain text format that is uncompressed (the compression field will say "none"). Click on "main site" link under the "Download Links" field. This will open the ebook in a new window.

Step #7
Once you have finished your reading session you can save the e-book as a text file to pick up later. Click on File - Save As... in the navigation bar of your web browser. Choose where you would like to save the file (i.e. on your desktop, or in my documents, etc.), name it, and remember to save it as a text file (.txt)

Step #8
After saving your e-book to your local computer as a text file you can open it with any software program that will recognize a text (.txt) file. This would include Note Pad, Word Pad, and/or Microsoft Word.
