@CillinMC not true, a hypothetical - if someone was sprinting forward and passed the ball (correctly) and then instantly stopped dead (which is impossible unless they get tackled straight after they passed it) the ball would be moving in a forward direction becuase of the player's momentum. it's body language: "in relation to your position on the field, your hands must direct the ball back or level, never forwards "
do you even play rugby?

@CillinMC ahh word.. O'Driscoll is a beast
-
@aikenverschuur just because you catch the ball behind you doesn't mean it a backward pass, a forward pass is in relation to the ground
-
@NZman747 WTF :@
-
@MsTrailerGuy Yes!!! Finaly someone with a bit of sense!!
-
@1FastfingersMcgee1 th ball leaves his hand before the line, he takes it in after the line. That's forward. I know a forward pass is a forward pass but, throwing it to yourself is not a pass. It's the equivilant of fumbling it but catching it before it touches the ground.
-
@CillinMC that was backwards and a forward pass is a forward pass.. it doesn't have to touch the ground
-
@CillinMC He catches it after the line because there moving forward but its still slightly backwards.
Probably be called as crossing nowadays...
