Hello on this Wednesday, October 10,2007. I'm Rebecca Field with a UPI entertainment update.

Actor David Hasselhoff was reportedly hospitalized after relapsing. His rep says he's doing fine and should be heading home today. Last May a video of him drunk and slurring his words leaked onto the internet. Shortly after he admitted he was battling alcoholism. Hasselhoff has been going through a tough divorce and bitter custody battle with his ex Pamela Bach.

Actor Nick Nolte has welcomed a baby girl. His girlfriend Clytie Lane gave birth last Wednesday in Los Angeles, but there's no word yet on a name. The actor's rep says the baby is healthy and the pair is excited about the new addition. This is Nolte's second child...he has a son Brawley from a previous relationship.

A star-studded cast gathered in New York last night for the premiere of a new crime drama. "We Own the Night" stars actors Joaquin Phoenix and Mark Wahlberg as well as Robert Duvall and Eva Mendes. The film is about the relationship between two brothers in the middle of crime and mafia ties. It's set to hit theaters this Friday.

Beyonce and Justin Timberlake are raking in the nominations for the 2007 American Music Awards. The artists join Chris Daughtry and Linkin Park at the top of the nominee list...each grabbing 3 nods each. Timberlake and Beyonce will go head to head for the favorite Soul/Rhythm and Blues album. He'll also take on Daughtry and Linkin Park for favorite album in the Pop/Rock category. The ceremony airs on ABC November 18.

Hundreds of cyber athletes have been exercising their fingers for the past few days for the annual World Cyber Games in Seattle. It's also known as the Olympics of video games, bringing together gamers from more than 70 countries around the world for intense competition. Team USA grabbed the most medals...3 gold, 2 silver and one bronze. Other big winners include South Korea and Germany.

That's all for now. Be sure to check out part 3 in our "Abandoned Babies" series today on upi.com. Thanks for watching.

  • See, they should have corrected that news statement back then, the footage of drunken Hasselhoff was 'not' leaked onto the Net, he deliberately put it there to show people and to see for himself just how bad he was when he was drunk.
