@hallsy154 Yes unfortunately yes, but not necessary for the call forwarding or voice mail to work, if you have a power outage & it hooked up to your desktop you need to reboot your PC to take calls (however one can utilize a standalone client that has an auto-reboot function to solve this), the Nettalk being a direct connect to your modem doesn't seem to have these issues
