@AdytaShakespeare I mean, popular is not academic. In popular music the expression is over form or technical habilities, in fact popular music does not always mean the use of notation. Jazz and soul are genres of popular music and in past times were mainstream. Christina Aguilera is mainstream now. Great singer but she is boring when she tries to impress with her technical habilities.

GREAT VOICE, really GREAT but I don't thik I can hear it two times. One is enough, is too high, too sharp, too athletic. This is popular music. Instead, Karen Carpenter's voice is for ever, you can listen and listen and listen her till you die. Karen has the same magic of Billie Holliday or Anita O'Day, love them!!!
