@pperezklein She should be thankful? For what? 40 cents is still FAR TOO low.. and now she works 100 hours a week or more. She is a slave.. And don't think for a second that wal mart is any good. Wal mart throws americans in the streets, chinese in the factories, and MORE money into the CEO's pockets. PEACE!

If it weren't for Walmart, instead of 40 cents an hour, Jose would be making 0 cents an hour, so of course she should be very thankful.

I'm not a huge fan of Wal-Mart but I have worked closely with them and have been in some of the factories in Asia, who manufacture for WalMart, and I can tell you that WalMart HAS raised the standards of many a Chinese worker. I still don't know if this is a good thing though, as we're all going to be working for China soon.

IS a cashier supposed to make the same as a doctor? You dont even need a G.E.D. to be a cashier. Get an education if you want a good job and want to make more money. Jobs that you dont need an education for. (maid, ditch digger, cashier, stocker, janitor, etc. Hey, if you smoked pot in school or did not want to go in the military to get college money, or did not want to study, then you dont get the good jobs. You are mad at yourself. Change yourself and you will see the difference....

when they are making millions just to open new stores yes. they also pay immigrants an women less then men! this has been in the news plenty of times. also, i'm talking about over seas workers. they make chicken scratch while fat cats fill their pockets. they also put mom and pop chains out of business.

I been with walmart for 7 years and i only make $10.70 a hour... When i found out that employees who been with walmart with 2 years or less make more then me i became very angry
