After the disastrous wedding of Charlie and Jean, Meg regales the townsfolk with the story of her mother's rather unusual wedding day.

From our second Friday. And please be nice, folks- this is community theater. We know we're not Broadway :0)

  • Well you did a wonderful job! Our high school is doing Brigadoon this fall as our musical. I think it would be so much fun to play Meg! :D

  • @Jujifruitable Thank you! And I hope you get the part! She's such a fun character :0) Break a leg!

  • geez...I played Meg. Fun role, but I struggled a bit with all those names! MacGregor, MacKenna, MacGowan, MacGraw...etc. :P

but the best line in that song-- "It was a sight beyond compare, I ought to know for I was there!" oh Meg.. :)

  • Isn't she a fun character? :0)

We called it the Song That Never Ends. So many names, so many verses, so little time to breathe! But still, I think it's one of the best songs in the show :0)

  • We did this in High School,1969 or so...Your portrayal of Meg Brockie is very good...by the way, where are you located???

  • Thanks! She's a fun character. :0)

  • we're doing Brigadoon this year and it's fun to watch Meg sing this :)

  • Yeah, the director in the version I did was like "MacGregor, MacKenna, MacGowan, MacGraw, McVittie, MacNeil, and MacRai...Good luck."

And then (she's originally from Aberdeen), "Hey, McVitties are biscuits!"

  • We're doing Brigadoon right now and I'm playing the part of Meg, man those names are not easy and I have to go faster than she does in the movie...Ugh...Not easy, but loads of fun :D

  • I played this summer too. It's such fun. And yeah the names are tough! My director decided it would be good idea to pick up the tempo of the song too. It was crazy! haha
