  • The main cause of stalling is letting the clutch out too fast. You should release it smoothly through the friction zone (sweet spot).

Another main cause is that beginners are usually scared of giving it a little gas when starting from a complete stop.

  • jhardy66617 Your legs weigh what? 8-10kg? Flapping 10kg weights around at the side of the bike will not help it stay upright.

The better, more controlled way to move in stop and go traffic is to not stop and go, but give yourself a gap to work in so you don't have to stop. Slow right down, get the clutch slipping and keep it slipping with little blips of throttle. Drag the rear brake to control speed. You can drive slower than walking pace and it's much safer / more comfortable.

  • I remember when I'va those vids for the first time 3 years ago when I started out ...very helpfull...now I ride a Ducati m900 and i'm not affraid to put my kneedown :-)

  • I'm learning how to drive motorcycle, and soon I'm going to race with a few experts...when they have to turn to right or left, their knee's touch the ground... I can't even stop the real way, i break, and when the motorcycle is stopped, i gear down, haha

  • I just don't really know how to handle the throttle on a Bike, It seems like I can't hold on when I'm trying to ride it, when you try to hold on, the more throttle you give, and you just end up eating shit.

I'm a fourwheeler guy. I have a YFZ 450. So i'm fine on the whole clutch purpose, it's just weird going to that type of throttle.

  • @phemmie84 yeah thats the main problem i'm having is goin from a complete stop cuz i'm scared to shoot out to fast and be out of control so I often stall out, once I'm rollin the rest of the shifting is pretty easy

  • do this a lot in peak hour traffic

  • yanks cant ride superbikes

  • @geritolwhamfan I do plenty of track days.. some of the fastest riders are running 600's. Theyre lighter and more flickable in the corners.. more forgiving on throttle as well.
