Ginseng makes your set move (the one you set to need only a couple of buttons to use, Razor Leaf in your case) to become more powerful. It'll indicate this by putting a +1 next to the move.

This walkthrough is really good! Haha I used a Chikorita too, because it's my favourite Poke'mon ever. But my partner was a Charmander instead of Pikachu, because Charmander's a type advantage. I tried using Pikachu as my partner, but I kept loosing so I resetted everything and changed to Charmander.

it was made by a third party developer that got the rights to use the pokemon license. In fact, the company has an entire series of games similar to this, some using licenses.

The battle system on this one looks so much fun. I had no idea they made Pokemon games like this.
