Wheel Anti-Reversing Technology is a new invention designed to aid a beginner skater much the same as training wheels assist a bicyclist. It provides a stable, comfortable method to learn inline skating. Both feet remain on the ground and parallel to each other. As the skater gains confidence he/she developes the traditional mechanics of skating and the unit may be dis-engaged or removed.
Speedskater's times are improved because the device acts as a starting block. Since the wheels don't roll backwards, each stride is more efficient than traditional skates which may cost a fraction of an inch per stride.

Wheel Anti-Reversing Technology is available for exclusive licensing to a qualified third party.

  • Cool idea for beginners! I could certainly use a few pairs for my more challenging beginner students...

  • That's Trick. I've never seen anything like it. How many times do you get to see a reporter demonstrate something that wild? Eddie

  • I completely understand the concern about beginners developing bad habits.

I think despite this, it's a good tool to assist beginners & entry-level skaters. I've seen skaters struggle with slight inclines, unable to control rolling back.

Best of luck with the product & innovation!

  • Brilliant

  • From years of teaching, I know the most timid beginners will shuffle like the interviewer above. But they also know this is nothing like the "real skating" they hope for. With this invention removing one danger, they can relax more and focus on learning true stride technique.

  • Good guess, but the modifications are on all four wheels. The bulgy heels are stock FILA skates. OEM

Gregg Moss' demo skates were also outfitted using the same tecnology on each wheel.

  • These skates are designed to get you hooked on the sport. It becomes addictive.

The correct inlining techiques fall into place as soon as you get comfortable with the sport.

  • The only problem I would have with them in the hands of a beginner is that they might teach someone bad habits. For instance, shuffling your feet might get you used to skating that way. But hey, it's not like you have to play roller hockey the next minute you learn to skate! It's a really novel idea. Kudos.

  • oh and nice idea. very obvious potential and use.

  • Huh, I'll check that out, o, I wonder if the use interlocking gears, I can't wiat to see how they do that on ALL 4 wheels...intriging
