This song was written over 30 years ago when our first daugther, Jennifer, was between 2 and 3 years old. I was so thankful that God had blessed us with a child, and couldn't believe how fast she was already growing up. I envisioned the day when she would meet the boy of her dreams and start her own family. That day has come and gone very quickly. I now get to watch my 7 grandkids growing up and think back on how precious and fleeting life is.

I hope this song helps parents to appreciate the precious lives that God has entrusted them with; and to realize how quickly these hectic, yet happy days will pass by. I think this song would be an especially meaningful wedding song for the father of the bride and his little girl.
