  • I was five in 1957 when this was on TV .. I had that Kenner Girder and Panel set. After watching this, i found a few on ebay.and bought the one i had. What an incredible feeling it was opening the box and touching the red girders ,that i havent had in my hands for over 50 years. What was surprising was the amount of time and care i needed to build a stucture as an adult. Then i remembered how we wanted toys back then to take alot of time up in winter, like building models.

  • I was on The Sandy Becker show in 1959 and Wonderama in 60 and again in 63

  • @jenzeppelin I remember Nickelodeon doing something similar to that with their "Toy Run" sweepstakes back in the 80's.

  • @ClarkieDude I feel that's what happened as well.

  • Dear WayneScott,When you appeared on "The Sandy Becker Show"..was this his weekday morning or weekday evening series?

  • I wonder who won"The Herb Sheldon Name It?"contest?

  • Oh my God, I would have grabbed A LOT of things in those precious five minutes...for the contest...

  • COCOMarsh!

  • Please tell us more about you being on the shows, u were one lucky kid !

  • As someone who wasn't even born when this was on television, can somebody tell me how long this show ran on TV in NY? It looked like a great show to find out what types of toys you can get.
