The book I mentioned above 'The Need For A Sacred Science', published in 1993 is very good on the subjects you ask about - especially impressive is the way in which Professor Nasr shows how modern evolutionism is both flawed from the viewpoint of pure logic and is also a kind of parody or 'flattening' on the profane time-space bound plane of horizontality of the traditional concept of the vertical ascent of the 'Great Chain of Being' as taught by medieval Platonists in Christendom and Islam.
A wonderful lecture: I have tremendous admiration for Dr Nasr's book 'The Need for a Sacred Science' and his works on the traditional Scientia Sacra and Cosmological Sciences of Islamic civilization.
Very good lecture, brave, intelligent and on point.
