  • All this talk about guitars is making me puke. Jeff Beck is a good guitar player because he has a creative mind and his fingers are well practiced. He could make a $150 Jackson guitar sound like gold.

  • No matter how old and worn they make them look, the wood is still new.

  • @OsvaldoPaese fuck off. a certain guitar can make you play better because it just fits you. it's just that perfect fit, and its the same with amps and tone a certain tone can make you play better because you're inspired by it. just because he can make it sound good doesnt mean he'll want to or if he'll feel inspired by a piece of shit guitar.

  • @frenchfriedfrenchmen over under sideways down by the yardbirds

  • @TheXXXDB thats very true, Gibson and Fender for the longest time have been coming up with reissue guitars of years gone by, the sad fact of the matter is they can go ahead and put an outrageous price on these guitars and someone is crazy enough to buy it. Gibson did finally come up with somethiing new but it looks like it was designed by the same guy who used to work for Pontiac and designed the Pontiac Aztek

  • We wouldn't have to "relic" guitars if they would just paint and finish them like they used to. They used minimal amounts of paint and finish so it would wear through fairly easily with some playing and sweat. Now there is 120 coats of plastic put over 92 coats of paint. That won't age any time soon. Maybe trying to hide the crappy woods they are using?

  • i agree with others here i never saw the fad in the distressed look or vintage look??its a piece of wood with simple electronics on it too play music with...thats all...Gibson and fender and others i guessed have lost touch with all of that and there drive is money pure and simple....this romance that people get with these things i could never understand ..and i have been playing since i was 6...and i know and have heard all the arguments but i cant justify spending 3K or more for a guitar

  • The concept of building distressed guitars, replicas or otherwise, was a great marketing idea by Fender to sell people with too much money an overpriced plank of wood with 6 strings on it. Give me my 1991 Fender '52 Telecaster RI that has my own battle scars on it anyday.

Jeff Beck sounds incredible on the Telecaster and should use it much more than he does.

  • @OsvaldoPaese You just don't understand man. As a guitarist some guitars just have that feeling to them. It's because of that guitar that he wanted to practice his fingers on, and create things.

  • @frenchfriedfrenchmen Over Under Sideways Down, by the Yardbirds.

  • whats the song playing at the start?
