plasma beats the pants off netbok remix and the uniti interface your all going to get shovbed down your throts when ubuntu 11 launches. nore did kde due a netbook remix they adeed the netbook ui in the main part of kde and defults to it if it detects a netbook. you can switch it back to desktop via the workspaces config.

I'm a KDE user myself & I don't like the Netbook Remix of KDE. I install the normal version of KDE and I move the toolbar to upside of the screen and activate the auto-hide feature.

This one is sweet. Just gotta get it!

@kaddy01980 Too bad netbook remix is Ubuntu-only. It's not made by Gnome (afaik -- if it is, please tell). You can get KDE optimized for netbooks on any Linux system.

although I'm a kde fan, I prefer the Gnome version of Netbook Remix

@xxhopingtearsxx the use of terminal is not a linux decision, depends of KDE, Gnome, Flux or ... Besides i think KDE its really rocks the next two years.
sorry if my English isnt perfect.

this looks good. but a bit confusing at first.
if you add a few "hints" or tooltips noob people wont get confused or frustrated when the top panel bar disappears.
anyway keep up the good work

Doesn't hold a candle to ubuntu.
Who needs Chrome OS? This beats the pants off it!

The problem I've always had wih kde is that it seems kinda cluttered from the beginning
- application wise - I mean it just seems to me that it would look much better with fewer standard apps pre-installed and then you just add whatever you like.
Also some of the app names are kinda awkward^^
Other than that I love where the plasma desktop is going! :)
