lyrics & music: George Frideric Handel
he Swedish band Solar Plexus was Carl-Axel Dominique (keyboards, flute), Georg Wadenius (bass, guitar, 1972), Monica Dominique (keyboards, vocals), Slim Borgudd (drums), Bo Häggström (bass), Tommy Körberg (vocals, guitar)
Did you not hear My Lady
Go down the garden singing
Blackbird and thrush were silent
To hear the alleys ringing...
Oh saw you not My Lady
Out in the garden there
Shaming the rose and lily
For she is twice as fair.
Music by Handel (18th century), but words by Sir Arhur Somervell (20th century). Slightly weird, but great performance and what does it matter that he's a leftie. I doubt he was a mass murderer.

Tommy Kørberg has a wonderful voice and tecnique .But most people became awareof that in later years, when he got rid of the worst of his leftist political opinions. I mean, who admires Pol Pot now when we know what a terrible massmurderer he was?

Different but honest - Handel may have called him a 'Scountrel!' but then again he may have enjoyed the approach. This rendition maintains the Baroque integrity.
