hi im going to get the same lift as u from rustys and was wondering how it preformed on and off road

I have a 94 xj

Im getting ready to get a 4.5 Rough country lift and it has every stuff to install. No driveshaft adjustment needed.

In this application, it works great! It is super-easy to install on the Chrysler 8.25 axle, it literally takes about an hour and a half start to finish...and once it is in it has excellent road manners, and an obvious gain in traction. Hope this helps!

do you get any bunny hop in the rear when your driving on the road with the "no-slip"?
Goochjg 2 years ago
Not really, some occassional tire drag or ratcheting noises, but for the most part it is unnoticable on road.

Hey i have been looking at a 4.5 inch lift kit for an xj and was wondering if this one has everything i need to do it, and if so will i have anyproblems after it is installed , will i have to adjust or lower anything? thanks, nice video

The xj in this video came with shims that bolt onto the spring packs and a 1" transfer case drop, it works ok for him. I would recommend a slip-yoke eliminator and a cv driveshaft for anything over 3.5" so that you can leave your tcase where it should be and dial out those annoying vibrations. If you can install a lift yourself, you can install a slip yoke eliminator, they are really easy to install.
