We have been doing a lot of these after our main lift on max-effort & dynamic-effort lower body days. They are great for strengthening the hip extensors, developing power, and gettin' your heart rate up!

You can get the RARE BREED tee at www.AngerSports.com!

  • It really doesnt matter but I find the swinging movement harder to do with the forearms in the flat position

  • dumbells should work fine in the replacement of kettlebells

  • this movement focuses on developing explosive power from the hips and legs

  • I had a question about grip for these, is it better to have the forearms flat like in this video, or pronated (palms facing)?

  • looks familiar. My trainer has had me do these as a part of a kb complex, with presses, squats, and bent-over rows.

  • hey Joe,

is there any way i can do this with dumbells or any other piece of equipment since i do not have access to kettleballs?

    thank you.

  • We're the coolest!

  • Hang cleans can be really difficult to learn, and have a high injury rate. This move is so simple. You can add weight easily, which means get stronger faster.
