I didn't hear what Cameron said. I was too busy tossing off over Eric Pickles.

I adore the way he says it: "Ya-HOO". The only way I've ever heard someone say it is "YA-hoo". This is fantastic. He is already one of my fav MPs, this just makes him so much better!

Jacob Rees Mogg is a throwback to the 1940's, ludicrously out of touch with this country today, just like the rest of the clowns in the Tory party.

Cable seems an obvious choice, but the libs are doomed if they do and damned if the dont. If they stick with Clegg then theyll keep their party united but will be punished harshly by the voters, but if they get rid off clegg theyll might save themselves a few votes but the coalitoin would be unworkable and their party could split. Clegg and Cable are turning into Asquith and Lloyd George in terms of politics and personal relationship

Boris might run but he wont win, everyone seems to overlook William Hague, hes experienced, relativly competant (compared to Theresa May, Hunt, Lansley, Hammond) and George Osbourne is almost universally distrusted.

Actually, forget that, Clegg has a huge majority! I think rest is accurate (if a prediction can ever be accurate in the present period!)

Generally would't go with the Boris leadership suggestions, but if the Conservatives do end up in opposition, Cameron gets the push (or jumps) and Boris is a new MP, then he might just be popular enough (and untainted from the Coalition) that he would be installed as leader. On Clegg, he's got a small majority so he might not even get re-elected.
As a Bath resident I'm slightly concerned that as Don Foster is quitting some other Lib Dem from a marginal seat will be whisked in here to save them!

Think Huhne is too unpopular - most unpopular Lib Dem alongside Clegg. Cable is still popular, plus he's to the left of his party, so likely to fit with Labour better. I think the leaders will be the same going into next election, but after Con and Lib lose seats and Lab don't gain enough, Clegg will get the boot - particularly if a Coalition is formed, and Cable brought in because he's most popular, and most likely to win back votes.
Not sure whether Cameron would stick or perhaps diff leader?

i agree that the by elections wont be a great indicator, but theyll be a little better than opinion polls. Boris Johnson is an entertaining chap, but not a realistic national politican, he might become an MP, but not tory leader like some people say. We are going to have Miliband PM - but which one? Cable might become leader, but everyone seems to underestimate Chris Huhne, he nearly beat Clegg in the lib leadership in 2007.

It's close to a 10% majority so not greatly marginal. I don't think the by-elections will be a great indicator of 2015 because parties always do badly mid-term. Also positive eccentricity (e.g. Boris Johnson) actually sees people outperform their party. I think we've probably seen the end of majority governments, as people see the flaws in both parties.
I imagine after 2015 we'll have either a minority Labour administration or a Labour/Lib Dem coalition with Cable as deputy PM.

no but his seats a marginal, and no offence but hes too eccentric.
If the tories lose corby then their going to lose a lot of marginals in 2015
