north american eagle- supersonic land speed challenger

The shattering of Land Speed Record (LSR) by the North American Eagle will be the most watched sporting event of 2007. This international event, scheduled for October 15th, 2007, will raise excitement and inspire people all over the world. The spectacle of seeing a dedicated team of Canadian and American aerospace engineers and race car enthusiasts, who are volunteering without pay, reach uncharted heights and transcend new goals will give a lift and re-ignite the spirit of anyone following the event. And the goal? Traveling over 800 MPH on land and breaking the current Land Speed Record of 763 MPH that has been set for ten years.

Love the way they make Richard Noble out to be some rich corporate bad guy. How come they didn't mention that he broke the record in 1983 with Thrust 2 when he had barely any money? He was a wall-paper salesman before that..

Sure Thrust SSC had funding from Richard Noble, but the vast majority had to be found elsewhere, while the small team worked away at it in a college.. the guy isn't made of money. This NA Eagle Project is a failure.

They get there by being a successful politician ... and successful politicians are alomost always manipulative, power hungry individuals. They have reached their position due to their own selfish motivations ... not because they wanted to "make a difference" or because they "love their country" etc etc.

You cannot trust a politician.

The Queen is apolitical ... she is the complete opposite of a politician.

@gamblemadman if you dislike republics and prefer monarchy then you are either brainwashed or a tory or maybe even both, republics sure can have the worst scum on top of the chain, no dount about that, it`s not per se the better form, however but at least the scum on top in a republic doesn't get there by birth and stay there until death, and take money from their hardworking subordinates to maintain their castles palaces and lavish lifestyles, if you see what i mean,

If you are anti-German then why live there? Seems a little strange to me. I personally like Germans ... and Polish. Especially Polish girls.

I dont see the point in being anti-monarchy ... there are more important things to hate in life ... like republics for example ;)

I dont see how someone can "try to look down on Americans" ... thats a bit like saying someone can "try" to have an opinion.
