My friend and I were looking up different accents on youtube, and people trying to immitate them, and we came across this regional dialect test.

  • i grew up in new waterford about 15 minutes outside of sydney on cape breton island and halifax sounds so normal when they speak .. been up in fredericton for the last 8 years and alot of the terms i use for things no one really understands like the term pogey for example means ei (employment insurance ) no one really understood what i ment cept some of the older crowd down here or when i'd ask my buddies how to work the clicker (remote ) for the tv they'd look at me like i had three heads

  • Im from calgary and theres a couple words I say totally different (just surprised me)

    Aunt - I say like ant

    Scallops _ say like scahleps

    Mario - I say like Mah rio

    but cool video :)

  • @CuteLittleBabyGirl i also forgot to mention i call a garage a barn, a garage is a gas station ,baby barn is a shed and the porch is a deck
