  • @schlusnus Sorry, but I disagree. She had a nice voice but I wouldn't say a great one and wouldn't have made it musically in the latter part of the 20th century to now.

  • that's what I ment, emotions through the singing of the music as written, no histrionics and cheap tricks. Many bad singers became famous trough them.

  • but joseph there is such sadness in her voice,destinn was so great at vocal expression and i think it is quite noticeable here.sobs are a cheap add in,if the composer wanted sobs he would have put them in.
