Every new Mac ships with a built-in OS X tool called Boot Camp that lets you install and run Windows XP and Vista (Windows 7 support coming by the end of 2009) at native speeds. A simple setup allocated a separate partition for your Windows installation so your Mac files remain safe. You do, however, need your own authroized copy of Microsoft's operating system. If you want to run Windows and Mac applications side-by-side — without rebooting — you can use virtualization software like VMware or Parallels (sold separately).
