I'd swear this was from in-house video at the 9:30 club in DC 1986. It's definately from the 86 Atavachron tour. I have photo's from that gig and the guys were crammed up on a little stage just like this. Gary had that wood grain Tama kit - only tour he ever used that set. Good stuff. 1st Steve Hunt tour too.

Interesting story attached to this footage is that bass player Jimmy Johnson does not play his amazing Alembic Series 2 five string bass, because it had been stolen from their tour truck shortly before this show. He ran over to a local music store to rent a Yamaha 5-string, but bought this temporary Alembic Persuader the next day in order to continue the tour. After receiving his new Series 2 bass, he sold this Persuader again.
