No. This show wasn't trying to erase racism and sexism and the other bad things that happened. Yes, those things were around. And yes some of the founders including Washington and Jefferson owned slaves. But the 1st draft of the constitution which was written by Jefferson outlawed slavery. And George Washington eventually let his slaves go. Women like Molly Pitcher really did fight in the army. Abigal Adams fought for women's rights. Wentworth Cheswell was the 1st back judge in America in 1768.

OH MY GOSH! How did I not know about this? This was on when I was in elementary school. I am a history freak and now I'm angry because I never knew about this. But I'm also now in love with this. This is the way history is supposed to be taught, especially American History. We should idolized the brave men and women who fought for our independence and be proud of our country and learn the true meaning of freedom.
