@shawndafox Yeah, it's "sangatsu konkoka" the title is misspelled..kokonotsu is a counter for round objects if i remember right.

I thought ３月９日 was read as 'sangatsu kokonoka'. Or am I wrong? I mean, my sensei taught me that.

That's right. This song was written and became popular with weddings and graduations, hence the video featuring both. It was used in One Litre of Tears because of those elements to the storyline, but wasn't written specifically for the drama. (Not that you said anything of the kind. I'm clarifying for other readers. :) )
