Friday was a depressing day; I had to tell Amber, Bekah, Michelle and a few others I was leaving for Thanksgiving for my Grandmother. They told me they would miss me and wished my Grandmother well which I knew they meant. I told the squad I wouldn't be here for tonight's' football game which Kendra didn't like, but I had to pack, what could I do. But telling Chase was the hardest, he understood and wished her well but still, I was always with him one way or another. He has been my real first boyfriend and I didn't want to be away from him. But I had to, my family was going to North Carolina, even my famous Jonas brothers so I was no exception.
I packed a lot, but mostly clothes, books and my camera, I love taking pictures and since Charlotte is a beautiful town it was mandatory to bring it. It's a Fujifilm S9600, which is better than it's older model which was "critically acclaimed", so I guess this one is extremely "critically acclaimed". My brothers bought for me which adds to its greatness, honestly I didn't even know they knew about my love for photography but that's what do. They like to make people happy.
"Who are texting?" Nick questioned as we sat on the plane that was heading to Charlotte Douglas International Airport, he was sitting next to me in the middle seat while I sat by the window and Kevin in the aisle seat. Kevin and I were texting, Nick though, was not. Which meant he was bored which led to him wanting to talk to his siblings or anyone for that matter.
"Chase." I responded.
"Oh, well you know you don't have to talk to him all the time. Plus Mom and Dad won't let you text Chase at all while we're at Aunt Faith's, it will all be about being with family."
"Exactly, that's why I'm doing now." I told him, and Nick looked away and at the white seat in front of him. I knew it was mean to shoo him away like that but right now I don't care. Family isn't my main priority at the moment.
After the plane ride we got in Dad's car and headed to Aunt Faith's house, she had two spare bedrooms plus the basement was completely furnished, we could all fit in there. Kevin was the only one talking to break the silence except for the radio playing softly in the background. He was the one making bedroom arrangements which Dad and Mom would agree to if they were fair. Joe and Kevin were in the basement, Frankie was going to sleep in Eli's room who was only five, Mom and Dad were in the first spare bedroom and Nick and I were in the other one.
"Well while we are here I want everyone to have fun but most importantly be with family and help your Grandmother." Mom announced, my brothers and I all agreed and went back to keeping ourselves busy while we endured the car ride.
"Be on your best behavior everyone, your Aunt already has enough to worry about we don't need to add to it." Mom explained before she rang the doorbell. Uncle Ben was the one to let us in, then came Aunt Faith, Eli, Amy, and their Newfoundland Muse, Uncle Ben named him that when he bought him years ago. Uncle Ben was an aspiring musician but it didn't work out so instead he decided to settle down and marry my Aunt Faith and it was happily ever after.
After the many hugs, kisses and welcomes we moved into the living room where everything got serious, I don't know how it happened but the mood suddenly change.
"How is she?" Mom questioned, and everything got silent, this wasn't going to be a very fun vacation I would soon learn.
