My 10 to 13 Month Natural Hair Update

My experience with my natural hair has been wonderful. I have learned so much about my hair this year and looking forward to year two!! Me and my hair love Herbal Essence Hello Hydration, Eco Gel and I had a great experience with Curl Jel Les-C....awesome product! I decided not to trim my hair as often as I use to. I do not comb my hair except when wet and even then it's with a very wide tooth comb. I have appled may of the principles in taking care of my 10 year old daughter's hair and have seen great imptovement. She has not had a perm since November 2008!

THank you for sharing. You have beautiful hair. I loved all of the styles, especially the afro and the bob. You are a beautiful young lady as well. Your daughter is blessed to have a mom that is taking care of herself, and being an example for her, to show her how to take care of herself. I am doing the same for my daughter. I love the Herbal Essence Hello Hydration as well. Have you used any of the Giovanni products? They are all natural and pretty good too.

how did u prevent breakage, i am transitioning now and have experienced significant breakage on my sides what protective styles do you recommend, as well as what products i should use to stop further breakage. thank you in advance :)

@Sharonda242 I joined the Keepitsimplesista.ning website. It was very helpful. I also did a lot of protective styling and bunning. I use a wide tooth comb with conditioner in the shower. And I only comb my hair when in the shower. That includes putting it up in a bun. I use oils on the end especically to keep them protected. I hope this helps!

making me want my natural hair back.....this is exactly how my hair looked before straightening it. It's been relaxed, chopped it all off a few years later, and now straightened again

@ladycurlyhead The products are really good and they are all natural with no animal testing (thus far as I can see. I believe Ms VCharles did a video recently and notice a symbol that normally is on their products were not, however all the products I have have not been animal tested). I have also done a video or two on the products and they work great on both my daughter's hair and mine as well and I am wearing braids. Keep the videos coming. Love them!
