The 24/7 is a horrible pistol, with problems aplenty. This is an example of what's wrong with their DA/SA model.

  • it's stupid to test a loaded gun's safety by pulling the trigger. once loaded and put on-safe, NEVER put your trigger finger on the trigger unless you're ready to fire or shoot. anybody agree?

  • Completely.

But, people who disregard trigger discipline tend to be a whole 'nother type of stupid.

  • An Excellent weapon in the hands of a Professional. Also the best warranty of any manufacturer Period.Own 2 with thousands of rounds no malfunctions.New OSS on the way.

  • So you've never actually had to activate your warranty?

  • You're just jealous because that taurus shoots better than your other guns and you paid less for it. My taurus 45 works fine,no problems. And who in the hell goes around turns on a safety while pulling the trigger? Pretty fucking stupid if you ask me. There is nothing wrong with the taurus 24/7 pistols, just you.

  • it works, but when any moron can buy and handle firearms, they find ways to hurt themselves.

what kind of a backwoods retard sets the safety while pulling the trigger?

  • Anyway, this is a video troll just out to badmouth HIS bad purchase. That VR response is the same effing loser making up 2 YT accounts with just one video

  • Like they say about dogs, there are no bad dogs, just bad owners. It always amazes me how someone will buy a budget item and expect it to work like top of the line stuff. Would you buy a Kia or Hyundai and expect it to be just as good as a comparable Mercedes or Audi?

I have a 24/7 in 45acp. It's got some problems but none that can't be dealt with. If you paid $1000. for it, you would have cause for concern. But I know you paid less than half that. People always leave out how LITTLE they paid.

  • This problem he has can be fixed easily if he would send it in for repair. The safety does not work this way, something is indeed broken on his pistol. And No, 24/7's are not horrible pistols, they are one of the most reliable model series Taurus has made. When it comes to various pistol manufacturers & models, it's all about opinions and personal experiences.

  • How is this any less safe than any Glock? Either way, you still have to pull the trigger a long ways to fire, requiring a rather deliberate effort. The only safety "flaw" demonstrated here is that you can override the MECHANICAL safety (the trigger block) by failing to utilize the ORGANIC safety (your brain). When handled CORRECTLY, this gun's safety functions as it should; no safety feature in the world can take the place of proper firearms handling.

  • read the manual stupid. it says not to engage the safety with the trigger depressed.

  • well, if your stupid enough to pull the trigger while setting the safety, then you deserve to shoot yourself in the foot. I'm just saying... But, i tried this with my 24/7 .40 and i didn't work. i think there might be something wrong with your gun.

  • @KYChamp ya it will mess up glocks too...my friend used to do that alot, i tried tellin him, he didnt listen

  • PT 1911 is better

  • Closing the action without breaking it's fall will eventually damage this model of gun - I own one. Sure it looks "cool", but if you're at all concerned about the longevity and reliability of the gun, I would get out of that habit.

  • This model Taurus and it only does this when it is uncocked. For safety make sure no ammo is in the area and take the magazine out. Pull the the slide back and cock the firing mechanism. In this chambered ( without ammo for our test ) position or cocked position the safety does work. This so called flaw is not a flaw the safety works just fine.
