I believe that the complexity of our self-created problems are so intense and incomprehensible that any attempts to resolve them are simply nothing more than evolved versions of the technological fixes Charles so eloquently describes. Any way forward, no matter how progressive or "conscious", will always create unintended, unforeseen, unimaginable further consequences that we'll need to "fix." Our destiny is further problems, the desire to solve them, and endless short term thrills of victory.
