Prokofiev / Boris Karloff, Late 1940s: Peter and the Wolf / Петя и волк (Complete)

Boris Karloff (1887-1969) narrates in this 1940s-era recording of Prokofiev's "Peter and the Wolf," Op. 67. The Vienna State Opera Orchestra is conducted by Mario Rossi. Issued on the Vanguard label, serial number VSD 2010. (I am not sure where the Tiblisi Symphony Orchestra- at right, came from.) This studio recording appeared originally as a 78 rpm single from Mercury's "Childcraft" label.

this reminds me of the game i used to play when i was really little back in the late 90s and my dad used to play this music to me. this music will always remind me of my daddy. this quote is perfect.

This is a Christmas tradition that STILL brings a tear to my eyes because of all the fond memories I have of growing up. We listen to this every year while prepping for the big day... Great holiday children and adult story to play :O)
