this jelly was as big as a basketball and had a school of 10 or so fish following it around!

  • i'd say they're using him for cover! they were hiding under the mantle and darting around in the tentacles! it was cool to watch!

  • I always thought pelagic jelly's were harmless to the touch, much like sea anemones. But they're quite sticky

  • I think those are pilot fish, and as shappell said they are using it for protection. From wha I know about them, they are immune to the jellyfish's sting.

    If something went after them it would end up with a nasty sting.

  • Shapell what's up with the fish? They seem to be following the jelly fish very closely... any idea what the relationship is between the two?
