Like the blind men and the elephant, the specific observations here are correct, but some conclusions are fallacious.
Apple saw an instability in the way governments have set up carrier cartels, and thereby forced carriers to accept iPhone.
If the carriers believed they could hold back the enemy (Apple) forever, they would have done so. But by doing a deal with the enemy, an individual carrier protects itself in the post iPhone world, while the competition scramble to commission clones.
Hmmmmm, one has to wonder if Strand somehow is biased against the iPhone. Everyone who has bought an iPhone regards it as a mind blowing paradigm shift. Stand is biased towards his customers "the operators". We the customers don't care shit about the operators. The operators are behind, and the customers will crush you for it.
