If you don't know what Complementarianism/Egalitarianism is, then this will probably not be funny to you.

This song was written as a satire about the fundamentalist/conservative Christian theology of Complementarianism. The Complementarian view finds that the Christian bible points to men as leaders in the church and household, while women respectively hold different, yet important roles. The Complementarian view is not a projection of blatant sexism, but instead an attempt to accurately live out what some once found (and still a few find today) as the truthful way of Christian roles as derived from scripture.

The writer/singer of this song is not a Complementarian.

This song was actually created when the singer was requested to "creatively" present the Complementarian view in a class about male and female perspectives at Bethel University. The class loved it.

This song is encouraged to you be used for church worship services, background music for first dates, and especially the first dance at weddings. Enjoy!

  • HILARIOUS!!!!!!

  • @24preacherboy

I don't know too many women who want to be men.

but I do know many women who exercise their right to be educated, have a career and a family and liberties the same as a man does.

That btw, is not wanting to BE a man, but only having the same rights as a man.

If you would like to stay home, cook, clean and raise children and your wife goes to work for income, then do so.

If not, then what are you talking about?

  • Why do women want to be men?

  • @jwgirl81

Yeah, it's important to not take the misogyny out of context. LOL

  • @513mom

A woman who is a christians is like a black person who loves being discriminated against.

  • Exactly!

Plus, the word used in Greek (the language in which the New Testament was written) meant LOOSE silence. Not absolute silence.

  • I have nothing to do with the picture; it creeped me out too. I guess I could use a DV camcorder; it might be funnier and give a more "this is a satire" impression.
