Complete guide to destroying your makeup brushes!!!!

Makeup brushes cost a lot of money. Really. Its a big investment and yet when looked after correctly they will last many, many years.

Being overly harsh with them on either your skin or the products they are being dipped into can make them splay and in time, change shape and size.

Being gentle is one of the first things i teach people when learning to apply makeup. You have no idea just how much simpler and easier your makeup application can be just by being gentle.

Next time you apply your eyeshadow try it - apply it so gently and delicately that you can barely feel it touch your skin. It will make a huge difference in how your makeup goes on, how it looks, how it blends and most importantly how well and long your makeup brushes last.

And please clean them. Often. :)

Thank you :)

  • After I clean my brushes I wrap the brush ends in paper towels or toilet paper and then when the paper is dry, like the next day, I take it off and that's how I keep my brushes in good shape. Also, never dry your brushes standing straight up because the water will get down into the metal of the brush and disturb the glue and the hairs will fall out =0

  • I learn so much from you!

  • @srbXOXOgirl93 Ehh, it's ok; I'm sure I can find lots of good cheap brushes anyway :)

  • @RoseBrilliante it doesn`t have a brand..I bought it in a store where you can find everything lol it`s a supermarket/drugstore/clothing/travel/kitchen/office..well if you ever visit switzerland go to "coop"..& I don`t think they have an online shop

    sry I couldn`t help

  • YAY ! I WAS USING THEM THE RIGHT WAY ....

  • @srbXOXOgirl93 What brush is that? I'd love to know! By the way, I use EcoTools brushes and I love them so much! They're so soft :)

  • I agree..buy good brushes & take care of them! recently I found a very soft angled brush that is amazing for foundation & it`s very affordable .it`s one third of the price for a 217 mac brush. The cheapest I ever bought & I one of my favorite ones!

could you do a tutorial on you favorite brushes?

  • Great video..
