using a palette knife is quite easy. Put your base coast on then load the right edge of the knife with the lighter tone and LIGHTLY skim over the darker base letting some of the base show through. Do

the same with snow on the mountains. Darker base color of the mountain first followed by the lighter side skimmed over the top. Hope it works for you. Thanks for the sub. Marge

I don't usually comment on stuff but I was so happy to find your "how to" videos. Before I even searched for this video I was painting basically the same thing in this video and I definitely learned a lot about painting rocks, skies, and oceans ! I always have a hard time with rocks when I paint with knife..and highlights , but

anyway I always end up scrapping it off ..doing it again .but it works.!
