Video of a lap of the ring from a sill camera. Car is an E36 M3 evo.
You can see the wheel working hard in the slow tight radius corners.
Tyre pressures were 32/33psi cold, and approximatley 36/37psi at end of lap.

    See 0:08 you can see the pattern of the tread in this shot.

    Toyo R888's were fitted, so not budgets (although cheaper than the bridgeys). Tyre pressures were 32/33psi cold, and approximatley 36/37psi at end of lap, i dont want to run any higher pressures than that. Tyre walls are stiff as on the r888's so issue is simply the sidewall height flexing under tight radius corners.

    Tempted to nitrogen and run 33/36 next trip.

    (what pressures are you running your bridgeys on?)

  • you got 20 psi in those? and by looks of them there budgets! get some er050a bridgestones on there...

  • Tyre pressures are probably too high for racing tyres. If the tyre is softer (pressure and compound) will generally have more grip, harder =less. If tyres are wearing on the edges pressure is too low, wearing in centre pressure too high. even wear means the tyre is working as efficiantly as possible ( suspension camber can affect this).

    if u now all of this i apologize, but is good information that , many people don't know.
