I'm demonstrating the turning abilities of the Bentchopper and showing it blasting away two buddies on bikes on a nice downhill ride at around 40 mph.

  • What do you mean my design is being used? Could I have more information on this experiment?

  • I was looking for a bike like this to see how it would work..Your bike perfoms quite well, and gave me something to build on..

    Thanks!

  • I ride it all the time with no problems at all with the configuration. It was a bit tricky to learn how to turn and my upper body has had to grow a little stronger to make the corners, but it's WORTH it man. Once you're up and going on this bike, you can just fly. If I had to redesign it, there would certainly be some changes I'd make (it's 50 pounds) but other that it rocks.

  • No, it's a custom build. Unfortunately I don't have any plans per se. Everything behind the seat was from a Giant Rincon Mountain Bike. Everything else was made of just standard pipe from an aluminum boat trailer company who welded everything together per my instructions. The only other bit of info is that the headset where the forks attach to the frame is at a 30 degree angle. If you showed a photo of the bike to any welder, they could probably figure it out.

  • Is this a production bike? Can it be bought? Or did you built it? Got plans :)

  • The front end looks inherently unstable.

If you sit on the bike without touching the handlebars, the front wheel flops to one side, and you have to life your weight with the handlebars to get it to point straight ahead, yes?

To fix it you would have to put an L shaped bracket on the bottom end of the front fork, so the axle is above the fork. The way you have it now, with the axle below the fork actually makes its worse.

  • good job man!!! i like it
