Inside the NASA Crawler Transporter - PART 1 of 3

This is a guided tour I was given by KSC's Crawler Transporter manager, back in 2000. We go throughout the interior and up on the top where the Mobile Launch platform for Apollo Saturn V and later the Space Shuttle stacks are mounted and taken out to the launch pad.

@forge229 they wouldn't go any faster -the amount of sympathetic vibrations sent to the payload increases with speed as does the difficulty in driving, btw -these things are not from the 80's but from the mid 60's

they should build more of these for the military as mobile bases or feild commands.
