  • My friend has a triumph bobber with white walls and the chain slaps the white wall, will this stop the chain from slapping the tire, thanks great video.

  • @Hollywoods7 It would definitely help, but I wonder if he/she either has improper chain clearance to the tire or is not maintaining the proper chain tension?

  • Great video! Good filming and instructions! Rock on!

    Thanks!! --Al

  • Hey, Brutha,

    Thanks for commenting.

The chain tensioner brand is LBV Engineering. A guy could call them for exact spec's/numbers on the bearings used. They appear to be some fairly decent sealed bearings, but I won't be able to vouch for them for sure until they have 1,000's of miles on them...

    ...he he he...

  • THANKS FOR YOUR INFO,I WILL CHECK SOME THINGS OUT ON HIS BOBBER,I AM BUILDING A 70S CHOPPER ,I BUILD STREET RODS,YOU CAN SEE MY INTERNATIONL ON MY YOU TUBE CHANNEL @ HOLLYWOODS7 LOOK FOR A GREEN TRUCK,I ALSO HAVE SOME INFO FOR YOU I CAN TAKE ANY CARB AND INSTALL A GROOVE IN IT AN INCREASE HP ,MPG, AND REDUCE HYDRO CARBONS,YOUR SHOP COULD BE THE FIRST ONES. GUARANTEED.......

  • Maybe the the setup was intended to have one washer per side, you know how mass production pieces can be someone at the factory was probably just a lazy sagg that didn't put one on each side. Another question is this chain tensioner has decent bearings? I've noticed quite a few oem aftermarket parts may have some but their excedingly poor quality.

anyway good luck on the project!
