FAQ: Should I use warm or cold tea bags?
It really depends on your preference. Some people think having something cold on their eyes is really refreshing while others prefer the calming effect of something warm. A cold tea bag will immediately constrict and narrow your blood vessels, and therefore, be a quick fix for puffiness. If you're using tea bags, the caffeine and antioxidants from the leaves will be deposited onto your skin, and thus treating the dark circles at the same time. I wouldnt recommend using the cold method too often since it may be too harsh on the delicate skin around our eyes (about 1/10 of the thickness of normal skin). On the other hand, warm tea bags will stimulate blood flow and also allow antioxidants and caffeine to penetrate the skin easier. Its a nice, relaxing treatment to do before going to bed.

FYI: One of the most common active ingredients you will find in a natural eye cream or even in any of the many popular forms of eye gel is caffeine. We all know what caffeine does for our bodies and our minds. It stimulates us and helps us to wake up or stay awake. Caffeine, when applied to the delicate area of skin and tissue around the eye stimulates the skin first. It helps to tighten the skin by reducing the amount of moisture in the cells that causes bags. Once it enters into the tissue beneath the skin, it gives your natural collagen a boost and forces it to start creating more collagen to give a firm look to the skin. It also increases blood flow through the capillaries which also helps the skin and tissue repair itself and can reduce dark circles under the eyes.

  • I actually just put spoons in the freezer before I go to bed then when I wake up I put one side on each one of my eyes, and then once as it goes warm I switch to the other side.

    It works so well.

  • just watch out using the potatoe because it can make ur eyes REALLY puffyD:

  • I have been using a natural beauty balm by mama nature called queen b.It has made my skin less wrinkly and silky smooth. It also is not as greasy as before and it has a shine to it. It has honey and beeswax and royal jelly which are all supossed to be good for your skin. But what i have noticed is the dark circles under my eyes have become lighter. It might be a coincidence I cant say for sure but i must admit to loving this balm. I will be getting more sent over from england soon.Hope this helps.
