The visual transformation from chaos to order is the best way to explain Kathleen Conover's most commonly used approach to painting. In this three part demo, she will demonstrate how to work spontaneously, intuitively and without expectations to create under-texture and introduce color to begin the layering process of an example painting. "This is the stage in a painting to best capture the creative energy of the initial inspiration." It is the beginning "chaos". In Part 2 and 3, order is brought to the lively, colorful and chaotic, first layer by working back into the painting in subsequent layers pulling out the image of a rook.
